Brown Butterfly

Despite the wings are damaged, life still has to go on. This butterfly probably has gone through harsh conditions for its short life. Was the damage due to storms or attack by other insects/birds?

Colourful Sunset

In the morning, it was storm and heavy rain. By evening, the sunset was awesome. What a contrasting day in my farm!

Melastoma Malabathricum (Rhododendron)

After the storm, the wild pink flower appears more beautiful.

Destructive Storm

Luckily, I was not in the Camp when the severe storm struck my farm, the camp collapsed and the adjacent huge 15m height tree fell. Nature, sometimes, can be so destructive! 
Was it due to our interference that caused the unusual wind gust?  

The rocky Landscape

The hilly land is strewn with boulders, cobbles and stones. It is at about 45km from Sri Aman to Sarikei. This landscape reminds me of the Mars land, with many boulders, cobbles and stones too.

Rare Dark pink and white impatiens wallerana 

At first I thought the plant was Periwinkle. I bought it at US$1.20 at Sarikei Market. Then, I found the leaves are spongy and I realised that the plant was Impatiens wallerana.

The dark pink and white colour flowers are certainly distinct.

Malvaviscus arboreus (Turk's cap)

The flowers are now like hibiscus, with petals opening up, after heavy rain.
