Vernonia Cinera, Compositae (Ash Coloured fleabane)

When I was just a child, I like to blow this globular flower because the white hairs would fly in the wind. 

It is a small plant growing in the wild and can be seen at dry areas, even on the edges of footpath. The flowers are initially tubular and pink, but change to white globular hair after a day.

Cuphea hyssopifolia

This plant is used as ground cover near the drain sides. The plant may become densely growth and needs regular trimming. The pink flowers are small.

Ananas comosus (pineapple plant)

This pineapple-like flowering head comprises of  bluish white tubular flowers while the buds are light pink with bluish tips..

Bamboo orchid in the wild

Such scenario is often seen along the sides of the Kuching-Sarikei-Miri trunk road. Plenty of  the plants stand and move in the wind. You won't notice if you do not stop your car as the flowers are quite small.

Light violet aster (Michaelmas daisy)

This plant belongs to temperate country and therefore not easy to propagate or flower in tropical Sarawak. It requires a lot of control and attention to get nice flowering.

Rare white impatiens wallerana 

This white colour flowers suddenly pop out of the usual whitish spot-orange or whitish spot-pink and look like white periwinkle.
