The plant had not been growing well since raining season started. Only four stems left. The rain drops also dirtied the leaves. 
May be it is better to put inside the house rather than in the garden.

Chinese new year and the Golden Horse

The Chinese New Year falls on 1st February. It is such a big festival in Sarawak where almost all Chinese celebrate the days. Generally, the people will take a week off.Some even take three weeks holidays to laze around! 
I was given a Golden Horse by a bank to celebrate the coming new year, which is the year of Horse according to the Chinese Zodiac.
This year will be my lucky year but I do not know how to believe. Both Good and bad luck has an equal chance.

Multi-coloured plant and the yellow butterfly

The butterfly is attracted to the colours of the plant even there is no flower. What is it looking for then?
I won't be able to notice the butterfly if the colour is white or light pink rather than yellow.

White Periwinkle Flowers

The petals are snow white and prominent. You won't miss them as you tour the garden.The flowers come out in all the seasons, whether sunshine or raining.

Rural School in the Interior

While in the town, we studied in the luxurious reinforced concrete classrooms, our rural people had no such liberty. 
Teachers were scared to be sent to such schools due to lack of facilities and even proper classrooms. 

Yellow belly Bee

Actually, the bee is ugly. Imagine if it is 100 times bigger, I am sure it will scare you out of the wit.

Black and White Butterfly

Another view of this beautiful butterfly. The black marking seems to be roughly painted, like black ink spreading on a dry cloth, but this does not affect the beauty.
