Trumpet Blowing Clouds

Formation of clouds are generally due to condensation of water vapours and chemicals in the sky and clouds can be of various shapes. These clouds appear to be blown from some unknown points in the sky and like trumpets, strange indeed!

Fighting Cock

Want to fight? I am ready!
Cocking fighting is quite a common game in Sarawak, in particular among the local Natives, the Iban people. When two cocks are put together, they tend to fight each other.
The worst thing is when killing knives are tied to the legs and let them fight each other, it always ends up one of the cocks dead or sometimes even both are dead. Humans seem to enjoy the bloody fights. Bets are often placed which make the game illegal.

Anglers at the Batang Ai Lake

There must be a lot of fish in the lake. Otherwise, it won't be able to attract so many anglers under the hot sun. This lake is famous of producing Tilapia.
But I do not like to eat this lake fish, due to certain soil taste.  I prefer deep sea fish.

Orange-Bellied Flowerpecker

It is small, probably less than 10cm but the feather is colourful.
It moved among the branches fast on a tall tree near the Batang Ai Lake and I had a hard time taking its photographs.
The back and the wings are bluish black while the upper breast is bright orange. The neck is light greyish while lower tail appears yellow.
At first glance, I thought it was Sunbird bit it shorter beak indicated different species.

Batang Ai Lake

The scenery always thrills me with its blue water, boating people, green hill and blue/cloudy sky. Hopefully, one day there will be a footpath going up this hill and a watch tower on top to see the surrounding.

A Beautiful Black and Cream Dog

This wild female dog on a Sarikei Street is very striking. The black shading around her eyes reminds me of the heroic figure in one the American shows or cartoons! It seems to be a mixed breed between a local dog and foreign origin, perhaps Shepherd dog?

Red hot Hibiscus

Miss this flower, but I cannot find another one in the market and to plant it in my garden. It seems to be quite a rare species.
The neat flower has a soothing effect on my emotion.
