Zephyranthes Candida Amaryllidaceae (Flower of western wind)

When grows in long stretch, the flowers are outstanding, standing up like tulip flowers but much smaller. Pink Colour variety is even better. 
Why is it called flower of the western wind ? The wind is from all direction !

I think I know the reason already. I checked the direction, the plants all slanted towards the west !
