Spanthodea (African Tulip)

The other day I drove past the Song Road near the Friendship Park and saw this short plant suddenly came out with showy orangey red flowers at the roadside. These flowers grew out from banana-look buds. The plant seems to be growing out wild, probably from the seed excreted by birds.
This plant is called Spanthodea, a common and invasive plant in tropical Africa. It seems to be growing well in tropical Sarawak.

What is the Praying Mantis doing on the flower?
