Normally, the leaves float on the water, but this variety has leaves folding up. The flowers are beautiful whether light blue or light pink.
This variety is closer to Nelumbo Nucifera (Lotus) which has leaves above the water.
A black bee is busily extracting nectar. This bee has a unique shape and features.
