Green Fern Fiddle head

This curled head looks young and green, probably the best time to pluck and eat. We  have one vegetable dish using this wild fern and especially tasty, if you cook with prawn paste or oil. It is only popular in Sarawak. 
In the past, this dish is devoid of pesticide as it was grown wild. But with the opening of palm oil plantation and widespread usage of pesticide, the fern is no more safe from chemical staining.
