Pereskia saecnarosa (Seven star thorns)

This old herbal plant was planted more than ten years old and it was left only a vertical stem and the thorns, with hardly any leaf. 
My maid felt that it was ugly and cut to the ground level three weeks ago. The plant immediately grew into a healthy state with multiple stems and leaves!
Life, often needs some pain, to rejuvenate!
