Despite the hot sun, rain normally fell in the afternoon at Sarikei last week. I put out a second temporary shed costing US25 to prevent myself getting soaked.
But, was it the wrong location, near to a big tree? Would the lightning strike? Would the tree fall due to strong wind?
The chance seems to be low, this is the low point of the terrain near the small river and there is no sign of lightning striking here before.
Well, life, sometimes has to take some calculated risks!
