Is this a dead butterfly ? Why is it lying on the ground ?
She is sunbathing ! It was raining the previous night, so the butterfly has to dry its wings so that it can fly better. You can see some damage to the lower wings.
Quite a wonderful design, but I am not in favour of brownish colour.
