Dead Lake

Do not be misled by the by the beautiful scenery.
You could not swim in the water.  This lake was a dead artificial lake. It was a retention pond used for storing mining tailings. It had high content of arsenic compounds and cyanides.
Sometimes, I doubted the economic benefits brought by mining activities. The pollution left behind would require huge costs and many generations to disappear, not to mention the damages inflicted upon the human species and environment.
